Hello, Pie World!

Hello there! How are you?

Welcome to my delectable little corner of the web. The name is Rachel, my friends call me Raye — and on occasion, I masquerade as the Piebird. Come and join me as I flit from place to person, flavor to recipe, taste to technique, and of course, pie to pie.

As a newcomer to the culinary and writing arts, this project is an effort to centralize all my questions, thoughts, and experiments in the kitchen. Here at Piebird, we’re serving up a main course of PIE with a side of baking, cooking, and a dash of vintage kitsch. Here you’ll find recipes, traditional and new-found techniques, and some stylish accessories for the kitchen.
